The studio
A small, principal-led practice. The people you meet are the people who draw.
Maison Verte began in 2016 with one apartment in Lisbon and a rule we have never broken: present every project whole. Plans, materials, light studies and furniture arrive in a single sitting — because a home is not six separate decisions, it is one.
We take eight to ten projects a year. That number is not a marketing line; it is what two principals and a studio of five can hold to the standard we set.

Trained in Paris, fifteen years between there and Lisbon. Camille draws every first sketch and presents every project. Her measure of a finished room: nothing more can be removed.
Keeps the studio's material library and sources every stone, timber and cloth personally. Travels to the quarry, the mill, the loom — a sample that arrives by post alone never gets specified.

What we hold to
Light first
Every plan begins with a study of how the sun crosses the site — at 8am in March, at 6pm in September. Rooms are drawn around it, not the reverse.
Materials that age honestly
Lime plaster, waxed oak, unlacquered brass, undyed wool. Nothing that hides its age; everything that earns its patina.
Presented whole
You will never receive a mood board of disconnected pretty things. Plans, materials, light and furniture arrive together — or they do not arrive.
Drawn to be lived in
A house that photographs beautifully but cannot host a dinner for twelve has failed. We design for the twentieth year, not the magazine shoot.
Come and see how we work.
Studio visits are by appointment, in Lisbon and Paris.
